Special façade cassette system in Gold VOM 2
The International School Eindhoven (ISE) is located at the National Monument of the former Constant Rebecque Barracks in Eindhoven. The most important buildings had to be respected as freestanding buildings. Through inconspicuous details and choice of materials, the focus on the monumental qualities has been maintained. The same applies to the new building, which is specific and special, but at the same time respectful of the authentic ensemble.
VPT-Versteeg has developed a special facade cassette system, in which the facade appearance differs depending on the viewing angle. Alucol anodised these cassettes in gold VOM 2. These panels are provided with perforation and printing. Behind the perforated panels are integrated panels with printed images. Due to a special technique, two images were printed, which are alternately visible. This technique is a derivative of the so-called Moiré effect. Various windows have also been placed behind the perforated facade, so that the facade remains uniform and also protects against the sun.
