17.000 aluminium elements anodised in the colour Titan A2

The Fryslân wind farm supplies around 500,000 households with green energy. On the artificial island of Breezanddijk, about 12 kilometres from the Frisian coast, the construction of the associated transformer building has now been completed.

The building consists of two bodies penetrated by a public passageway that allows visitors to explore the technology inside the building. The exterior façade of the building is clad with 17,000 partially tiltable aluminium elements.

These aluminium elements, anodised by Alucol in the colour Titan A2, create a fascinating play of wind and light.
